Untried 16: Sally Hansen Gem Crush Showgirl Chic

Nothing like a good ol' glitter bomb. Sally Hansen Gem Crush in Showgirl Chic is a clear base packed with tiny silver glitter and blue glitter hexies. I believe this is a dupe for one of the China Glaze Eye Candy glitters.

I am not sure how I feel about this polish. I think it is one of those 'looks better in the bottle' polishes, to me anyways. The pictures below are two coats Showgirl Chic with no topcoat.

Untried 15: NYX Enchanted Forest

Today's untried is a lovely glitter. Enchanted Forest is comprised of small to large green holographic glitter hexies. I knew when I saw a swatch of this polish I just had to have it!

Not much to say, it's just plain awesome. Some pictures to prove it! One and a half coats of Enchanted Forest over black, I had to dab the largest glitters on.

Yum!

My Wedding! (Well..my Reception!)

Yay! Megan's getting married! I know this has nothing to do with nails, but I thought some of you might wanna catch a glimpse into my life outside manicures. This post is my planning of our reception from when we got engaged all the way until the big day! I hope you all enjoy.

I know this sounds funny but one of the first things I thought after we got engaged was, "What am I going to wear on my nails?!?!" Immediately my mind went to a subtle yet beautiful white polish with glitter and texture. The next week I saw the first swatches for the NYCBallet Collection by OPI. Not going to lie, I didn't give them a second look. But I fell in love with them after I looked at swatches for the 20th time. I NEEDED the white jelly and the glitter STAT! When I got them in my possession naturally I put them on right away. To no surprise it became my favorite and I fell for these nails. :)

(4 coats Don't Touch My Tutu! with 1 coat Pirouette My Whistle)

For a June wedding I wanted to do something special with the colors. I wanted them to make a statement but also be calm and beautiful. I went with fake flowers because unfortunately real flowers cost an arm and a leg. After spending hours in the flower department I decided on these.

And these are the arrangements for the tables.

Initially the colors I chose for the wedding came from paper my mom had in her scrapbook room. We came up with these invites with that paper.

YUM! I made the cakes myself, and I was so busy I only got a picture of one of the four! This cake is chocolate with peanut butter frosting, a favorite in my family!

We are moving soon so Mykel and I decided to have a 'money tree' of sorts. I found the most adorable little wooden suitcase at a craft store and decided to make it a holder for cards. I think this was my favorite part of the whole reception!

And last but not least are these little baskets that I filled with chocolates. I put these on the tables for people to munch on as well as take home as a favor.

I hope you liked my mini tour of my reception!

Untried 13: Pretty and Polished Party on my Yacht

Oh Boy! Today my untried is EPICCC! I seriously have been lemming this polish since it came out at the beginning of 2012. Party on my Yacht is a lovely polish by Pretty and Polished that includes small green, purple, pink and yellow glitters with a stray blue bar glitter. This polish is so special and unique, I feel like all polish lovers should have this polish in their stash. I love this polish and I know this is not healthy but I seriously look at my nails and want to eat the polish! ;)

The effect is really neat, I creates it's own jelly sandwich without needing to layer! Chels, the owner of Pretty and Polished sells her polishes on Etsy. She also recently made an agreement with Llarowe to sell her polished on their site. You can also check out Chels' Blog for updates regarding the brand.

I have pictured below 3 coats of Party on my Yacht with no topcoat.

HAD to show you the random blue bar glitter on my thumb! and the bottle shot makes me want to grab a spoon. ;)

Stay tuned for more Pretty and Polished as I got my order from Chels this week!

Untried 12: Darling Diva Polish Ringer

Now here is a polish! This polish kinda took the community by storm. Darling Diva Polish Ringer is a dupe for the infamous Max Factor Fantasy Fire. Very sought after, very happy I got this!

I have pictured below Ringer over a base of Revlon Royal. I don't even know what to say about this polish except for the fact that it is beautiful and I love it. :) No topcoat in the pictures below.

Untried 11: China Glaze Magnetix Pull Me Close

Untried number 11...I am almost halfway there! It's almost time for a major swatch fest to get some untrieds out of the way. China Glaze Pull Me Close is a part of the first Magnetix collection that was released earlier this year, you know, back when they were huge? Ha ha well I think the community is kind of over them.

I used two different magnets for this mani to show  a traditional stripe and the star, which is my personal fav. No topcoat on these pics.

Untried 10: KBShimmer Lilac Dreams

Another Indie for you today! I have Lilac Dreams from KBShimmer. I LOVE this polish way more than I thought I would. This glitter could easily be opaque in a few coats but I layered one coat over a base of OPI Dutch Ya Just Love OPI? This shade of purple is great and definitely under represented in my collection. The blue glitters in this polish are also holographic which makes this polish even more special. You can only see it a little in the pics but this polish is stunning even without the holo!

What's up tomorrow?

Untried 9: Candeo Colors Sprouse

For the next untried I have a treat for you! Another Indie! Ahh, don't you just love them? I Do! Candeo Colors Sprouse is a black and white glitter with a lil' blue thrown in. I love this combo and the blue makes it unique from all of the black and white glitters out there.

I have one coat of Sprouse over my previous untried, Zoya Lola.

This polish solidifies the fact that I NEED more Candeo. Period.

Untried 8: Zoya Lola

Late! I Know! Yesterday was my wedding reception so Iwas super busy! I will try to get a post together about that as well so you can see a little about that too. ;) I am also going to try sooooo hard to get another untried posted for you today also.

Today I have Zoya Lola. I swapped for this polish this spring after the China Glaze Neons started popping up. I was lemming them but I knew I didn't have the money. I decided to swap for this and I am SOO happy I did! I am not a pink person but I love how bright this shade is.

2 Coats Lola. No topcoat.

Hope to post later too! Stay Tuned!

Untried 7: Whimsical Ideas by Pam Peanut Butter and Jelly

I have another epic Indie for you today! Whimsical Ideas by Pam is a lovely brand that you can order on Facebook for $10 each. The customer service was wonderful and her products are pretty great also! Today I have Peanut Butter and Jelly to show you. This is a deep pink/purple jelly with tiny gold glitters and medium gold hexies. The name is so suiting don't you think? :)

I love this polish to death! I can't wait to buy more from Pam and see what else she comes up with. Pictured below is 3 coats Peanut Butter and Jelly with Seche Vite.

Untried 6: Elixir Lacquers Bad Kitty

Hello all! Today I have an extra special post for you. I was on Twitter some time ago when Nicole from Nail Polish Wars and Elixir Lacquers posted that 20 bottles of Bad Kitty were going on sale! Bad Kitty for those of you that don't know is a limited edition lacquer that has been sold in VERY small quanitites every now and then. There aren't many bottles of this polish to go around so when she announced I was torn. I really wanted it but I know I need to be mindful of spending.

As you probably guessed I ended up with a bottle of my very own. I am so excited about this polish and I hope you enjoy it as much as I am. :) This lovely is a sheer purple polish with TONS and I mean tons of blue shimmer. It has so much shimmer, it's borderline duochrome.  For this swatch I started with one coat of WNW On a Trip and 2 coats of Bad Kitty, No top coat.

I greatly look forward to trying more Elixir Lacquers in the future. If you have any, I'd love to see and read about them :)

Untried 5: OPI Sand In My Suit

Today I have an untried that I was searching for, for quite some time. As I have said before I was doing a lot of swapping and I knew I wanted a nude/sandy colored polish that, when I put it on, almost mimicked my skin color exactly. Not sure why I wanted this so badly but you know how it is...

Anyways, OPI Sand in my Suit, I got from a swap and I am in love! It's the perfect shade of sand so to speak. It has fulfilled my want for a nude polish and I love the way it looks on.

2 coats Sand in my Suit. no top coat.

How is my month of untrieds so far? What would you like to see this month?

Untried 4: China Glaze Senorita Bonita

Hello all! For today's untried, I reached into the vault! I was going through some old drafts I have had sitting their and realized I had swatches of this that I never posted! I thought it was perfect timing because it would fit nicely into this challenge. Senorita Bonita is a great bright shade of purple with a purple/magenta shimmer. This polish came out in Summer of 2011. I would have to say this swatch is 2 coats.

What am I going to post tomorrow? Anything you want to see?

Untried 2: OPI Dutch Ya Just Love OPI?

Gotta love a lopsided picture to start off the post! Today I am featuring OPI Dutch Ya Just Love OPI? for my 2nd untried. This polish came out this spring as a part of the Holland Collection.

This medium/dark purple is a great shade on it's own. My favorite part is the golden/red shimmer you see in the bottle. Unfortunately, the pictures I have aren't showing off the shimmer on the nail like I hoped. You can never go wrong with a purple and a shimmer in one right?

2 coats Dutch Ya Just Love OPI? No top coat.

Nice lil' bottle shot to show some of that shimmery goodness! :D
