Franken!!

OMG so i was feeling a teal polish with lots of glitter.. I happen to not own anything like that at the moment. so I decided that I would try my hand at making a polish. I took a clear wet n wild and added cheap eye shadow in blue and green until I had a color I liked. I then took some of the silver holo polish I had and added enough for some sparkle. I also added dark blue and holo glitters to the mix. Lastly I added an insane amount of silver hexies. viola this is what the end result is! not as shiny as I hoped it would be but its still pretty for my first franken!

next post is gonna be a good one ;)

Revlon Not So Blueberry

I got this color when I bought Revlon rainforest (bogo) and I love it! It's scented which I didn't realize until I got it on. It smells so frickin good! I also want to point out the subtle duochrome lilac/light blue and like always I wasn't able to catch the full potential on camera. The bottle shot gives the best view of it.
Omg its so yummy

Revlon Rain Forest

[PICTURE HEAVY] I saw this new shade by Revlon a few weeks ago on youtube in someone's haul and couldn't stop thinking about it. So I decided to keep an eye out for it at my local drugstores. I went to RiteAid yesterday and sure enough! the new Revlon display was there! I only picked this one up because it was $8 and none of the others struck my fancy..
The pics below are without the flash.
Either way it is a wonderful hunter green shade packed with glitter. You can't get any better! The bottle shot is not the greatest buy you get the idea ;)

After wearing this color for a day I applied a coat of Essie Matte About You to see how it looked matte. I like it however I did prefer the shine for this glitter because the polish is so dark to begin with.
Until next time..

Black Crackle over Blue Glitter

I went to a couple drugstores in the city yesterday and I came across this gellie glitter polish that is an exact dupe of Sinful Colors Hottie which I had planned on purchasing tomorrow! So either way I picked this up along with a few other polishes which I'm sure will make appearances soon.

I layered this glitter over one coat of Blue Streak by Ulta so the glitter would be full coverage. I applied 3 coats of this glitter followed by one coat of wet n wild hallucinate for a multi glitter look. Black crackle finishes this look. I wasn't super impressed with the combo but it is still pretty none the less.

Homemade Polish! Red Holo :) Yum

So I was drooling over the Hits No Olimpo Collection which consists of 12 outrageously holographic shades that are to die for. I was going to purchase them but shipping to the US also is outrageous...I will be purchasing them, just not at the moment.

This made me remember that I got some spectraflair pigment for Christmas and I could try and make a holo polish myself. I ended up with this! I just added a whole bunch of the pigment to sa no name red polish that I added some yellow and orange to to make it brighter.. Not Hits Holo but it still looks super sparkly!

I wished the pics did it justice. I will revisit when it is summer and sunny so they will really shine!

Bundle Monster Pink and Purple Design

This design is something I came up with the other day just playing around with my new BM plates. Its an easy design that anyone with the plates can accomplish. I didn't wear it though because I had another awesome idea for a manicure in the middle of doing this one!

The Base is Rimmel Sunset Orange. I stamped with Konad white and any purple polish will work for the dots :) Hope you like.

Color Club Love Em Leave Em

This is one of my favorite polishes in my collection and my FAV holo of all time! The fact that its a nude and a holo just makes me drool! I can't stop looking at my nails when I am wearing it.

Lace with Checked Accent "Konadicure"

So this nail design is one of the first manicures I ever did with my first Konad plates! Since my blog is new to me, I have a lot in the "vault" to pull from. I want to get as much as I can on here so I have them all in one place. I was up late last night working on multiple new mani's that are super cute but I wanted to get them up on youtube first.
Sally Hansen Gunmetal is the base, stamped with Konad plate m57 for the lace and the accent nail is plate m79. Not to exciting now, but when I did it I was so psyched that I had stamping!
Until tomorrow..(I'm getting better at posting everyday huh?)

Bright Colors Water Marble

Hello again! I got a request on youtube for a summery colored water marble and I thought that it was  a great idea! With all this cold weather I am wishing for the sun everyday and I can't wait to flaunt nails like this on a daily basis! Watch the tutorial on youtube!
The polishes I used were China Glaze Pure Torture, China Glaze Solar Power, Sally Hansen Green with Envy and Wet n Wild Sunny Side Up.

Makes me want summer! xo Meg

China Glaze Pure Torture

So this shade I have to say is one of my favorites from my collection. Being on the first shades by China Glaze I have ever owned, Pure Torture makes a statement. This shade I LOVE for summer because its right between red and orange. A good place to be I might add :)
Not much to say and only one photo but I can tell you I can't wait for May-ish time to come around to wear this vibrant lacquer again :)
until then..xo Meg

FingerPaints Special Effects Asylum + Flecked!

OMFG! the flakies have FINALLY came to Maine! I know that the FingerPaints collection wasn't supposed to be released until tomorrow but Sally's puts stuff out as it comes which for other parts of the country its much sooner than here. I have read countless blogs and seen many many swatch videos about this collection. Flakies seem to be the thing lately and I am loving it!

SO today I have Flecked and Asylum from the FingerPaints collection. I would have loved all five of them but since I don't have a lot of money at the moment, I decided on my two fav's and am holding out for the other much talked about collections this spring.

This first one is Asylum which is a wonderful orange and purple or blue flakie depending on the light. This is two coats.
This one is Flecked and in my opinion photographs much better than the latter I am assuming because it has bigger flakies. As opposed to Asylum with two different colored flakies, Flecked has one green/blue duochrome flakie that like I said, are larger than the ones in Asylum.
Until Next time! xo Meg

Sexy Stilettos

This sort of just came to me, it was weird, I am not all about stilettos but I found myself with an idea in the middle of class and sketched it out in my text book! So as soon as I got home I got right to work! The tips are press-ons because my naturals weren't long enough to  make the point I wanted.
The crackle is China Glaze Latticed Lilac leaving a square in the middle of the nail. The base is black.

This look is perfect for a night out and to make a statement! I plan on using this design for my next night out with the girls!
