Ulta Chic Peek

I went to the city a while back and was lucky enough to be spoiled by my boyfriend at Ulta :).  It was my first time at an Ulta as I live in Maine and we are always the last to get everything! Anyways I was really excited for this polish because it was the beginning of fall and its a great shade for that time of year! It also has shimmer which I can't resist!
This is 2 coats in natural light.
Not very wordy but I think the pics speak for themselves :)

Wet n Wild Sage in the City Holo

Today I have a very summery shade from the 'vault.' The swatch below doesn't have full coverage with its two coats.
So today I decided that I was feeling very rainbow and added a generous amount of spectraflair pigment to this lovely shade. I took these pics at night so the holo unfortunately is not shown at its full potential. Hopefully I can get some good sunlight and take new swatches.

I love it! don't you?

China Glaze Crimson + BM219/221 + Flakie

Today I have an easy stamping manicure using my new bundle monster plates! I got the 25 plate set for Christmas and I am loving them! I also tried out a opalescent flakie polish over Crimson and I am loving that as well. This color was kind of disappointing to me because in the bottle it looks like a dark dark purple. One the nail however, it looks black in most lighting, sometimes when it the light hits my nails just right I can see that its purple.

I stamped with Bundle Monster plates BM219 and BM221 using the whole nail tribal print image for the accent nail and the matching tribal french tip to make the half moon.

What is super sad about this flakie polish is that I could not photograph it to save my life. It is stunning in person and I wish it would have relayed that in pics. Its two coats over China Glaze Crimson.

Avon Matte Violetta

Quick post today about an Avon polish. One of their first matte shades called Violetta. I love this shade and the matte finish is wonderful for the winter months.

Until next time.. xo Meg

China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise + Orly Twilight

So this combo is subtle but I rather enjoyed it. Actually its what is on my nails right now which is rare for me when posting.

As you can see in the above pics, the teal shade dried with a suede finish. China Glaze Turned up Turquoise (neon). 2 Coats of Orly Twilight top off this neon color.
Until next time, xo Meg

Pretty In Pink

I have some polishes today that I received for Christmas and I can't wait to show them off! The first of my Pretty in Pink polishes is from the Sally Hansen HD collection called Byte. Its a great purpley pink with bright blue sparkle!
The next is a beautiful pink shade by China Glaze. Strawberry Fields is a perfect bright punk with gold shimmer. I saw a blog post with a butterfly inspired design using this color and I knew I had to have it.

This next pale pink color is a staple that has recently been added to my collection. Vintage Couture by Color Club looks really great on my skin tone this time of year! I have very pale skin and the pink just does something wonderful for it!

(without flash)

The last Pretty in Pink Shade I have today is a Zoya shade called Happi. I am loving this color! A pale pink shimmer with a duochrome of light green and yellow depending on how the light hits the nails.

Hope you all enjoyed :) Until Next time..xo Meg

imPRESS Press-on Manicure by Broadway Review

This product I am doing a review on today is something that I don't normally use however I received this product in my holiday Voxbox from Influenster. You can check out their website as well as the website for the imPRESS Press-on Manicure to look at their other designs! The design I am applying to my nails is Lil Drumr Grl which resembles a pink/black zebra print.
The application for this product is so simple its great! The packaging is super cute which is the first thing I fell in love with! The manicure comes with a prep pad for your natural nails so the press-ons will stick the best. The back of each nail is equipted with a gel like adhesive that binds to nail in such a way that makes this manicure feel like its apart of your natural nail. This is something that surprised me the most! I was so impressed when I put it on because it doesn't feel like other press on nails! They feel like my natural nails and I am so excited that I can do anything and feel like my mani is still going to look perfect! I am curious to go to work and see how they hold up through my very hands on job.

I chose a nail to fit each nail and used the prep pad. I held each nail by its sides and peeled back the clear protector with the pull tab. I placed the nail on my natural nail to get the placement right. I pressed the nail on firmly to make sure the edges were stuck. THATS IT! Can you believe it!? I was SHOCKED at how natural they feel. I am for sure a repeat customer and I hope to turn all my girlfriends onto this product!
